Welcome to Podcast Patrol with your cohosts Kathleen McDermott and YooBeeThree. Podcast Patrol is a series of episodes discussing all things Doom Patrol. We will be having special guests who have all been working in front of the camera as well as behind it. Doom Patrol is a Warner Brothers / HBO Max show and it follows the unlikely heroes who all got their superpowers through tragic circumstances. The show has run for four years but, sadly, will be ending after this fourth season. Join us as we continue the legacy of Doom Patrol. Our mission is to explore mental health and the power of a community built around a story about tragic characters and tragic circumstances that have created a team, a family, of heroes who help each other navigate the world of mental health and save the world at the same time.

Kathleen McDermott

Kathleen is a broadcast media graduate and the community group manager for Doom Group and the community supporting manager for Wades World. In the past, she has done some work experience in TV but her main passion is social media with posting & promoting as well as interviewing people.

Kathleen created Doom Group (@doomgroup) on Twitter and Instagram as a way to cope with her own depression, particularly during lockdown. Doom Patrol gave her hope and she was shocked when she had 1,000 followers nearly overnight who loved Doom Patrol as much as she did.

She has become friends with Joivan Wade, who plays Cyborg, and has since connected with many of the actors and crew who have been a part of the Doom Patrol family.

Kathleen lives in the UK. She has autism and her superpower is her memory.
